Rumor: Xbox 360 With Built-In Blu-ray Drive Specs - Page 2

game makers arent going to make games for xbox 3610.5, or make games with 2 settings, prettier settings, or uglier settings... this is what microsoft gets for making the FIRST nextgen system.. the difference of one year worth of R&D is the difference between the 360 and the PS3, they chose to have a less-high-tech console so they could get the system out a year earlier than the ps3 (the only way the 360 has sold more units than the PS3).. think of this as a 5 year race between 360 and PS3, microsoft chose to start a year earlier with a slower (if you will) race car, sony, waited a year, and has a much faster race car, and when microsoft sees that sonys car is closing the gap fast, decides to bring their car in for a pit stop to mimic the car parts of sony's race car (bd drive? more cpus?) but by the time their car is finished in the pit, it wont be as fast as sonys car, and sonys car will have already passed it...

yes i know its a dumb analogy but it works... the only way 360 is in the race is because it started earlier.. what would it be if ps3 came out the same week?

www.nexgenwars.com shows that there are 20.2m wii, 17.1m 360 and 8.2m ps3, i havent found any sources that say different about the wii and 360, BUT the ps3 number is wrong, since this article shows 10.5m ps3 have been sold
