Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Normally its the 17th, but was pushed back this year due to it conflicting with Holy Week.

If you're celebrating, be smart and have fun!

As someone who doesn't drink, I make a very crummy Irishman.

Happy St. Patrick's day from here in Ireland to you all.
Just a question why is there a four leaf clover with a leprechaun at the top of the page?
Four leaf clovers have nothing to do with Ireland.

The four-leaf clover is often confused with the Shamrock. While the four-leaf clover is a symbol of "good luck," the three-leaf Shamrock is a mainly Irish Catholic symbol of the Holy Trinity.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well, while I may not be a true Irishman in the sense that I wasnt born there, my entire family is Irish (one generation, straight off the boat), so this is definitely a great day for me. Started the day with corned beef, cabbage and potatoes, followed immediately by a guinness (this was at 8AM) and I've been putting them back ever since. I figure I'll have my drunk on pretty solid by the time tonight rolls around.

Steeler - Danny Boy was written by an englishman who had never been and never went to Ireland. There are bars that are currently outlawing the song for that reason.
Westy - its not that you make a bad irishman because you dont drink, like crackers and arent irish. The reason is much simpler: you make a bad Irishman because you're English.
And yes, real Irish people dont drink green beer.
