The browser is a little clunky, mainly because a lot of features are disabled, I would assume to help prevent getting some sort of virus. I can get on most sites, and have even posted on TG from my PS3, lol.

Hah, that is pretty nice you can get to the web with PS3, they gonna make some type of patch that helps sort out the PS3 interface then or some way that you can atleast change the way everythings set up if anybody knows?

Well, also consider with the PS3 they did allow for another operating system be installed so you can use it like a regular PC. I am considering on installing Ubuntu on mine but they claim Yellow Dog is the best. Reason why I am not going with YDL is the fact they claim you have to have a HDTV which I do not at this moment. Also, my wife usually gets on and checks email and browses around while I am on the computer playing. It is a second computer to us. Reason why I considered on even putting another operating system on the PS3 is that there are some web sites that you can not do very much with it. My wife is a MySpace fanatic and she can not login to it so I figure putting Ubuntu on she should be good to go.
Microsoft was supposed to release an operating system for gamers for the computer in an article some time ago I had read but then they scratched that idea cause they didn't want to compete against themselves. Having a gamer version operating system and the Xbox and the Xbox360 I guess they thoguht more people would stick with the computer rather than buy their console and the games to play on it.
Just about all the Nex-Gen console systems can access the internet, some can do certain things on the internet where others won't from what I read and was told. That was not really a deciding factor for me when I bought my PS3.
What made my mind up was a few games I like and are still waiting for their release are locked ONLY to the PS3. Same way with Nintendo and their games such as Pokemon and Mario. I also looked at the fact that Blu-Ray was an option, ATM I do not use it cause of not having a HDTV but it is still there without the need for me to buy anything extra like the 360 will require you to do, I thought that was sad to watch HD DVD's you had to spend more money, that is something that should be included. These are gaming consoles I know but a lot of people are expecting so much more from them now. We have past the 8 bit or 16 bit days of strictly gaming consoles and should get more with the money we spend. My buddy that has the PS3 and 360 was so ticked off when he found out he had to buy aditional hardware to get the 360 wireless for the internet. So much more has to be spent out to get the 360 close to what the PS3 comes standard with.

They sell 28" HDTVs at places like Frys for pretty cheap, could pick it up as a temp and sell it and other tv whenever you feel like upgrading.. Just a thought,

Plan on getting a HDTV soon, I got my mind stuck on one. By the time I am ready to buy it though something better and as cheap may come along. It won't be until July till I can probably afford to buy it though.
Just started having ome vehicle issues and deciding what to do there, buy a transmission and transfer case(about $3,000 for the both of them if I get rebuilt ones, hoping to find used though for a lot less) or try to find some poor fool to buy it from me. I am sure I can sell it cheaply to someone, especially some young kid who only wants it for mudding in the hollers in hopes of getting stuck up with their girlfriend, lol.
