Has anyone played the online yet?

LordMeatwad and I have played a couple times in the online mode. Five teams of 2 shoot it out till you hit a certain cash limit or the timer runs out. You have to find the right weapons but once you do it obviously makes it a whole lot easier. Fight from in or out of cars, use the rpg, sniper rifle, AK, insane amount of fun and the trash talking before and after adds to the fun.

Heard the radio stations are even better than GTA 3 and SAs were? How many stations of each type of genre or w\e? Then do they do the thing like Saints row did with triggers hitting certain missions change poltical speeches and etc.?

Actually fenian, the news reports and the stuff that the DJ's say on the radio follows your progress.

Radio is good as always. Although it distracts me, so I mute the music volume.

The other GTAs were released on PC, but it's going to be a while.

From what I've been reading, it's going to be sometime in Oct/Nov '08.

I heard once the initial 'wow' wears off, the game really loses a lot of appeal. That it took a LOT of steps back from San Andreas.

You don't have to like upgrading your weapon skill or hitting the gym, but at least SA offered a lot of things to spend money on, from numerous properties, to loads of clothing, to even 'pimping your ride'.

IGN gave it a 10/10 for it being a 'masterpiece', but if by halfway through the game you have 750,000 and you're still doing lame jobs because "you need the cash", well, then it's missing something, something major. If it can be improved so easily by such an oversight, a masterpiece it cannot be.

But then again, in a day and age where Halo 3 can get 98% scores, I don't think reviewers remember that they're supposed to be CRITICS, not salesmen.

I really don't think the money needs to be connected to the story. Personally, I see my money count as my score in the game. If I am doing well and playing correctly then I shouldn't be needing to spend money on weapons, resprays, food, or hospital visits. My money isn't necessarily niko's money.

Im quite impressed and quite disappointed. Impressed of the graphics, physics, and storyline. Disappointed with the fact that you cant pilot planes, work-out, rigg ur car with a bomb, dance, and get tattoos

)
