Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
According to what I've heard it's also harder to get a really high star-rating in this game.

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
IGN rated GTA4 a 10 because (rumor has it) they were paid (millions) to rate it so high. Once again, just a rumor that's kicking around...
However, I don't doubt that GTA4 is a damn superb game. I'm waiting on the PC version... But boy, it makes a PS3 seem very worthwhile.
I loved SA. Not the beginning...but all the other chapters were intriguing and well told. (PC SA was crap though. I wish it was stable...)

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
Arent there plans in the works already for a GTA: Online (mmo) for the PC? I distinctly remember reading an article on this. It also alluded to the fact that since there's so much dough to be had in the console market simply releasing GTA sequels that a GTA: Online game was bound to be delayed in the making... hence the reason it hasnt come out yet.

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
The closest thing I have heard about a GTA MMO is this game called APB. (All Points Bulletin)
I am going to go on a limb and say that there is more money in a PC GTA MMO then in GTA4. That said there is probably even more money on a cross platform MMO then a PC only MMO.
As of right now APB is a 360/PC MMO. Should be good. It's made by the same company that made Crackdown.RX-78-2 Gundam EFSF Protoype Close Combat Mobile Suit Armor: Luna Titanium Armament: 2x Beam Sabers, 2x 60mm Head vulcan guns 380mm Hyper bazooka, Beam Rifle, Beam Javelin, Hyper Hammer, Gundam Hammer, shield

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
I pretty much stopped caring about review scores when Oblivion was given anything higher than 4/10. I can't think of a single redeeming feature of that game, apart from a fully-functional uninstaller. Even the parts that weren't totally awful were broken and crappy in their own way. Egads.
When I heard 10/10 for GTA4 I just rolled by eyes. I have no doubt that it's a good game, but honestly, after Gamespotgate, why would any reviewer try that again?

GTA4 is as good as its scores, and so was Oblivion.

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
GTA 4 has to be one of the most complete games I have ever played. They thought of everything and brought it all together in one hell of a package.
My roomate and I watched the TV in GTA 4 for 1 hour and 30 minutes so odd minutes. We watched watched freakin TV from a videogame and were laughing so hard that I had a hard time getting off the floor. We also found the GTA TV channels better than most they put on cable.
The hungry, ignorant man immediately grasps that he is handed a fish, but is bewildered when handed a net. The man who shivers in the cold thinks happily of the man who invites him to sit by his fire, and somewhat poorly of the man who loans him an axe, flint and steel.

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
Just wondering, how big is the environment (compared to San Andreas and Vice City).
Also, is the whole gym, training, stats, buying clothes, changing hairstyles stuff back. I liked this stuff in SA, but most of the comments have been on other aspects of the gameplay. In what ways has it kept those changes that were made in SA (also including swimming).Anger is a gift - Malcolm X

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
I concur with this deserving its scores. What little issues I've seen so far, are totally acceptable in the context of the scope and story that RS have managed to pull off here. The next generation has finally begun...

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
You can swim, you can buy/change clothes, you can go on dates, eating replenishes your health. That is about all that carried over from VC/SA. Instead of focusing on yourself, Rockstar said they wanted to focus on the relationships between Niko and the other characters. So instead going to the gym during your down time between missions you call up one of you friends to go out drinking, eating, bowling or a number of other activities. These people may also be POCs for certain side missions/jobs that allow you to mess around and/or make some cash. When your relationship reaches a certain point you will unlock that person's special ability that you can use.
From what I have seen so far and heard from others is that there is no longer any real estate available to purchase nor are there parking garages for your cars. There is a parking spot outside of you apartment(s) where you can save a single car.
The cop mode has changed to a search radius that increases depending on your star level. While sometimes a bit easier, I do find it more enjoyable, especially with 3 or more stars. The search radius recenters on you anytime you cross a cop's line of sight. Once outside the radius and no cops are in sight you will have a brief cool down period before your star level is gone. Right now, it seems that the cool down time is a bit too short.
Im still on the first two boroughs but I would definitely place the size of Liberty City between VC and SA. But while the square mile is smaller than SA, they have placed a hell of a lot more detail and polish into the smaller area. So far from what I have played, I say its better than San Andreas. If you liked any of the GTA3 series of games, you will like GTA IV.

Re: Gta 4 = Wow!!!!
You can save two cars in the parking spot. I saved the race car Brucie borrowed and gave to me and another car and they were both there when I loaded the game back up. Hell, I even had the race car and a firetruck saved and they wouldn't all fit in the parking space, lol.
