Re: Banned!?
I live in fear that the same will happen to me! Of course, NYS senate computers aren't quite as important as DoD, but still...

Re: Banned!?
I wonder if you get that screen when visiting sites about official military war games?

Re: Banned!?
Surely those would be excluded if personnel needed to access them for some legit reason.

So, the Chinese can cut through our government's computer security like a hot knife through butter, but our own people can't keep atop combat simulation news during a lunch break.

Re: Banned!?
Hahaha. When I was active duty, I'd get around those pesky filters using the Google cache feature. Worked pretty well, but eventually the DoD caught on I think. I also heard of some guys using proxy servers from their homes to get around these issues. How else were we gonna watch Youtube videos whilst waiting 10 hours for maintenance to fix a broke down C-5? Lol.

We had a thread on Tor/Vidalia somewhere... That might work.

Re: Banned!?
Lol, that's pretty funny. Now you just have to get Tactical Gamer flagged as a mission essential site. Then they won't block it.

Re: Banned!?
Well they used to block CNN's streaming videos, but not CNN itself.
That appears to have been remedied (the videos, that is). Seemed weird...

Re: Banned!?
Another forum that I occasionally visit is AR15.com. Many content filters block that site, so the owner of the forum put up an alternative URL: JobRelatedStuff.com that seems to not be blocked as often.
Hmmm.... I'm wondering if TG could do this and keep the alternative URL on the DL just for our Active Duty brethren?Become a supporting member!
