TX Lan Party, Redux
Anyone up for a shindig at Beatnik's house in the not-too-distant future?

Re: TX Lan Party, Redux
I'd love to come, but with my insane work schedule and my move in december rushing at me, it's too much. Hope you guys have fun though.

What happened to the Las Vegas plans?

FROM THE TACTICAL GAMER PRIMER.
3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.

If only my apartment in Fort Worth was bigger than a closet, I'd totally host it.

My schedule's crazy this summer but I could be down. I still have yet to fire a gun... and what's more Texan than eating grilled animals and firing weapons in a city of hippies?

Re: TX Lan Party, Redux
Sorry for the slow response. Search these forums for "RBCD" or "blended metal" for more skinny. I have about $90 worth of this stuff that I bought for the purpose working with Cing to pump modeling clay and turkeys and whatnot full of bad intent in order to test for ourselves the performance v. regular rounds. We suspect strongly that the claims are bogus. I met with one of their salesmen in Dallas last year while buying this stuff and listened to some incredible stories. And I do mean incredible. He said that the science was way above his head but he knew it had "something to do with differential equations". Saying that to a mathematics major was a bad move.
Still, the stuff goes bang when you shoot it and it's an excuse to shoot heated turkeys with powerful rifles, .40s, and 9mm for an afternoon.

Re: TX Lan Party, Redux
I was going to host one here, but I am cannot because of a crazy training schedule before our upcoming deployment.
