Wow, Aoiki. I know you are new here. Welcome to the great gaming community that is Tactical Gamer. But, I can't help but notice that all your posts have been fairly negative. Cheer up. This is meant to be a positive thread to show our appreciation of German cars. You must remember that TG is comprised of a broad political and socio-economic spectrum. We all come from different backgrounds and have many interests. Cars/motorcycles is one of my interests.

So to answer your question, I cannot spare you the "BS" of the handling and such. That is EXACTLY why I want this car. I could care less about using to impress other people or pick up chicks. When I worked at the Porsche dealership many moons ago, I'd go to some of the Porsche Meets where Porsche owners of all types would come to the dealership late at night for a workshop, get their cars inspected by mechanics for free, grill, and socialize. There were lotsa great folks and none of them fit people's stereotypes of douchebags driving Porsches to pick up chicks. These were guys who loved their fine automobiles. Because of these meets, I got to drive some classic Porsche 356's from the 60's, and every generation 911 that's ever come out.

I know your bleeding heart would rather I spend my money on a well in Chad, but guess what? I've personally done LOTS of relief work around the world. Remember that Tsunami that hit SE Asia a few years back? Yup, I was in Sri Lanka and Thailand for that. I've been to Djibouti many times as well. I even air-evacced thousands out of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. So, NO, I won't feel the slightest bit guilty about treating myself to something nice.

I also don't care about the gas prices. Not only will my very economical Mazda 3 remain my daily driver, but a Porsche 911 gets good mpg considering it's power output. It gets 17 city/24 hwy. So it's not going to kill me to drive it here and there on the weekends. If you don't have a car, don't be jealous of people who can afford them. I bought my first car myself when I was 16. I worked my tail off after school every day so I could afford the cheap old car/insurance/gas whilst making minimum wage. So I feel sorry for no one who can't afford to drive. Besides there are buses.

You obviously haven't driven a Porsche, let alone a fine German automobile, or you would understand or appreciate the engineering that goes into them. Please go test one so you too can understand, before assuming I'm trying to attract women.
