Let me know what you think. I took up this hobby about two years ago, but COD4 has been cutting into my shop time

I love wood working. If I had a workshop/garage I would be hardcore into it.
It annoys the hell out of my wife that anytime there is real wood around I have to go over and knock on it and check it out. She flips out when we go to a furniture store and likes something like a coffee table and I won't even consider it because it is particle board.

I was actually going to make my own computer case out of some exotic stuff, but my neighbors would get pissed if I set up shop on the balcony and started sawing. Someday.

The only wood working i do is with an axe. I did think about becoming a carpenter once though. Fin snickeri for making stuff like that.
I'm sorry, I was taking life seriously.

Every once in a while I get the urge to work with the wood. I Love my Roto Zip and I have Portable Tale Saw and a few other tools but not enough space to set up a shop.

I put in wood paneling in a built in book case and framed my oven and part of my kitchen as well...

I would love to build some projects....In fact my daughter wants a bunk bed office setup if I can find some decent plans for one of those....

Your book cases look great by the way!!!!

    Great Job!

I wish I could do stuff like that. I'm an absolute klutz when it comes to building things. I tend to measure once and cut twice, instead of the other way around...

Thanks for the positive comments guys.

It took me about 2 years and $10,000 to set up shop.

I have never parked in my 2 car garage yet.
Good thing I am not married

that way better then the stupid bird house i built! i came out a week later and the birds put a condemned notice on the front of it.

next time you build one add a barcode scanning auto organizing device that responds to mind control and you will have achieved carpentry skill 63!
I will not place claymores in my front yard.

    Very nice work!

Why dont you setup a Woodworking Social Group that way we can stay in touch easier?

Or rather I will and you can all file in and get your projects posted.

Looks very good, clean cuts and nicely aligned.

I have made a couple of furniture and little things such as a rocking horse for the daughter of my brother. Lately I have becoming more and more attracted to timber joints (without metal fasteners) and working without powertools. For me, chiselling, sawing and planing with hand tools is much more relaxing. Looking forward to buying one of those Japanese saws.

You have a good place to get your plans from?

Also what is next for you and your $10,000 garage?

I'm actually an Architectural Millwright. I work for a high end mill on the Gold Coast of the Northeast. That's Connecticut primarily but I've worked on projects from Red Hook N.J. to Boston, Ma. When I work out how, I have a few pictures I'll share.
