Re: Rammstein
I used to rock out to them in high school (96-99). They were a pretty big act back then.

Re: Rammstein
I was in High School the same time as War.mongeR1 (class of '99!) and remember that my friend Sarbaz was really into them. Du Hast is great in Audiosurf BTW.

Re: Rammstein
Way back in the way back I went to highschool dances at this weird/awesome alternative school in Anchorage, and Rammstein was a frequent, much loved addition to the playlist. There's nothing like apparently angry lyrics in a language you don't know to get the feet moving.

Re: Rammstein
If you're looking for more German music, Die Toten Hosen is good classic punk and Revolverheld is angry rock. On the more pop side, you've got Juli and Wir sind Helden, both excellent, if very different from Rammstein, bands.

Haha, memories of High School as well. And the Mortal Combat soundtrack.

Engel, the starting to that had me going for so long one time messing around with the mushies...
Weird band, good music, I was wondering why so many people i know that learn German say it's an angry language...

Re: Rammstein
because it sounds really funny as a kind language so if you arent shouting in german you sound silly.

Re: Rammstein
Rammstein is also the name of a town with a big american air base. During a flight show in 1988 there was a horrific accident that caused 70 deaths.
There is also "Einstürzende Neubauten" for the real alternative experience.
