Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
Yah but the feel of that plastic Desert Eagle just wasnt right... I agree though, many of the ABS guns are pretty darn good - like my M18. And my M14 for that matter - the weight's probably about the same anyways. All of the innards are steel anyways.
Note:
Remember to buy a case for your gun(s) if you intend to carry it in your car. Or else you can get into a LOT of trouble.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
CASES!! are important! COPS DONT FOOL AROUND THEY WILL SHOOT YOU AND OR TAZE YOU!
the UMP i recommended comes with a custom fit case.
THE ORANGE TIP
do not ever paint over the orange tip of your gun as it is legally require for transportation of the weapon along with shipping and sales IF you are worryed about the tip blowing your postion tape over it with duct tape or electrical tape to conceal the tip

Yeah... if it looks like a gun, they'll act like its a gun. Don't be stupid with airsoft rifles.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
Another good thing to remember is that a LOT of the time the folks at the field are ex-military (or current) and police officers. They can be pretty intense and touchy at times. NEVER threaten a Marine's honor, or face the consequences. (I saw one kid almost piss his pants accusing a marine vet of cheating).
Cops use airsoft for CQB training all the time. Many times you can get in on the action, especially when a professional trainer is in town running seminars. Those are fun as hell I hear.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
i want what california swat teams train with (its like a airsoft gun that uses low level explosives sending pellets at the same or slightly fast velocity as airsoft but provides realistic blow back and sound.)
Navy seals are never EX they are former navy seals i nearly died saying ex do not make that mistake as a gernal rule id just use former in any retired military title.
how ever i have had success with referring our LMG as Jarhead but it may be that im his COI will not place claymores in my front yard.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
Before you buy any airsoft gun, run searches and join some airsoft forums to get the 411 on that particular gun - especially if you're going Chinese. Many times, the wholesalers will have tested the stuff they sell and would give you an honest assessment anyways, so you can ask them directly also.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
That's another thing. Be careful of who takes your picture. One second you're pretending to be a Ranger, and the next your face is making the circuit on the message board communities because you look like a mockery of what you're pretending to be. ;P

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
I'll second that reccomendation for Redwolf. Even shipping from another continent there stuff gets to me faster than anything in the US mail.
Umm, I'd check out the reviews. Tokyo Marui is usually a solid choice for an AEG, and if you've got some scratch you can buy an all metal body for better durability or an upgraded springbox for more throwing power. Check what speeds your local groups like. And be ready to but down 3-500$ for a quality gun.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
jack i just checked out that gun and its a double eagle gun.. double eagle makes a great gun if your 12 i have a double eagle M4 the body is VERY plastic the gear box was relible but it feels like its losing FPS. the weights in it are way to light and totally off balance with the barrel. go for a double eagle if your giving it to a child but its not a pro gun.
theres a good reason for the Tokyo Marui gun to be expensive and thats becuase they are worth it TM make s a quality product.
a cheaper alternative is CYMA ive never had a CYMA gun that i could complain about even tohugh i retired my CYMA shotty and P99 (sig rip off) http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...tegory?menu1=1
WELL makes a nice gun ive noticed they tend to make Low FPS guns but they last for ever i have a Well M-15A4 (i think thats what they call it . its a M16 ripoff) that is now 4yrs old and still shooting straight (actually now that i tihnk off it i thinkn that well is the first gun i bought.)

classic army is Tokyo Maruis compition and makes a rifle pretty close and alot of time s better then TM guns the big difference is Classic army makes some all metal guns and has acouple of replica stuff (like some of the M4s have real Colt marks or SEAL and Marine corp insignias)

(note there are acouple of Classic army G3s but they have different names for copyright reasons)
