Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
Classic Army is great if you're looking for good, heavy, replica-style guns. Tokyo Maruis, yes, are very reliable... but as I said, they're pretty weak in stock formats and very expensive stock as well. Classic Army is even pricier. If you've got money to burn then TM or CA are the best you can buy - hands down. Although I prefer Classic Army out of the two.
If you're just starting out though and not sure if you want to invest in the sport then a high quality Chinese clone is just fine IMO. The markdown used on many of the TM or CA rigs is sometimes even more then an entire brand new chinese setup. (if you ever plan on selling)

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
i think bell is one of the well rip offs idk id stay away. ive never owned a jing jong i dont think but my local dealer might have some info ill email him but i still say order form redwolf there located in china which makes shipping more expensive but they get to you faster then most state side stores plus redwolf trys most everything they sell and i havent seen any poor grade guns listed there.
short guns/cheaper guns may be using plastic gear box make sure that the gun you choose uses a metal gear box.

I'm also looking to put a red dot or a scope on it.
So, it needs to have weaver rails on it or compatible with it.CoD4= -Shogun.jacK-

my pistol is a spring one that shoots 302 fps but, i cant stand it because it is a spring which makes dual wielding them impossible

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
when you have tiny little death machines that have hundred round magazines and spit white plastic balls with no recoil as fast as you can stroke the trigger it's surprisingly practical. You can physically see each round fired, which can compensate somewhat for aiming, and you don't have to worry as much about recoil. The rounds themselves don't have much range or accuracy, depending on the weapon, so it can be a way to get your rate of fire up and fill the air with a wall of 6mm white plastic death...
Aww, who am I kidding. You do it because you want to look like NEO.
I during one skirmish a kid on the other team had a pair of pistols with a TM tracer system, which basically flashes a strobe at a glow in the dark bb as it passes down the barrel. The first time he shot me I thought I'd gotten hit with a tazer or something, it was so bright and unexpected.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
Any time an Airsoft rifle is outside your home or a playing range it is a gun, and should be treated exactly like a gun.
Actually, come to think of it, you should treat it like a gun on the playing field too. Some guy on my team got trigger happy one and put thirty BBs into my back from about eight feet away. I sat the rest of that round out while I waited for feeling to come back into my arm. always check before you shoot!

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
Those glow-in-the-dark BBs are damned cool, but I was taught to stay away from them since they give away your position. I prefer to locate a target at night naturally (or with NV) and then use a high-intensity Tac Light (or hand torch) to blind them while I put a few dozen rounds into their head. I LOVE weaver mounted, trigger activated tac-lights. They give away your position to folk around you, but your target is left stunned.
As for dual-weilding, it's a great idea with dual CYMA glocks. They dont cost much, are full auto, and hold 30 rounds. Pretty accurate too. Great for CQB and/or pistol only matches.
p.s.
If anyone here is from the Southeast. Here's pretty much the best airsoft organizers in the country:

I've been yearning to get TGers to form a squad and attend their events... someday maybe I'll get around to it.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
i talked to my dealer this morning ( and got a .357 Magnum replica
) and he says he highly recommends Jing gong weapons and that Jing gong also goes under the name Echo 1 and Commando he was also telling me he has a Jing Gong M4A1 fires around 350-370 (they have a chronograph) and has a high end Gen 2 motor from more expensive style guns but this gun was only $150USD it is also TM compatible so its very easy to get upgrade parts for. he gave the model info so i tracked it down on red wolf http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=22884
(note with shipping its about $150.00 gun has decent weight)
as for accessorys most things that fit on a real gun will fit on a airsoft gun. just another cool thing about Airsoft how ever if you have doubts you should be able to unscrew the Rail mount from the gun and take it with you to what ever shop and check to see if the item fits.
(i want to dual weild my .357 now)I will not place claymores in my front yard.

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
Now I'm looking at a JG G3 T3-K1 off of hitguns
Or an JG AK47 RIS
So, far the only problems I have really seen with them are more for personal perference.
For the G3 its really big and for the AK is that I'm not to fond of AK'sCoD4= -Shogun.jacK-

Re: Looking for a good air soft gun
no ones fond of AKs ...except nutters
go with the G3 but i dont think the guy in the video knows what hes talking about (for instance he used the bolt improperly) the hop up mechinism is a little rubber stub thingy that like real guns rubs against the projectile creating backspin. if you are scrimaging buy serveral extra batts if you are tactical buy 1 extra batt also my MP5 has a 200RD high clip that ive never empty in a tactical game that 500RD clip will do you wonders IF your playing tactical
remember a G3 is a long range battle rifle its not a CQB weapon the barrel is 8ft long so that it is more accurate and can send hell to far away lands if your worryed about that you can get a MP5 (which H&K built by taking a G3 and stunting its growth) or a AK74U and then theres the good old favs the M4A1 and G36c (G36s are very simliar to G3 in that they have the classic H&K layout)I will not place claymores in my front yard.
