Congrats!!! We've missed you, man! Keep on keepin' on; you've made it this far, now it's hopefully coasting from now on. When will you get to play on your computer again?

Concentrate on spending time with your family and the path ahead of you after completing basic. Tactical Gamer isn't going anywhere.

Graduated, off post in civies with a beer. Beer never tasted so good. Going to Fort Bragg tomorrow for AIT, about 12 to 15 weeks of training. Don't know my privledges yet, so we'll see if I can keep up with you guys... might be getting an iPhone to get some good access though.
Any chance on a handle change? I've been christened the 'IceBerg', and I like it.
Later all,
Squeak

Re: hello from bct
Don't tell anyone about your basic nickname. When you get to your unit, don't ask to be called "the Iceberg". You're likely to get stuck with "the Homo" or something even less PC than that.

I'd probably try to derive some new nick based on lettuce. Leafhead!

And Squeak, congrats, man! I'm glad you're getting to be all you can be... <snicker> I mean, that you're an army of one... <chortle>
Seriously, though... I'm really glad that you're serving. As you now know, there will be many times in your Army career where you don't even think about the fact that you're serving your country. You'll be cold, or hot, or hungry, or wet, or all of the above, and you won't give a damn about anything but getting back to a nice shower and some rack time, but try to remember, every now and then, of how many people are proud of you for what you're doing. Re: hello from bct
They're not confiscating our laptops/cell phones until this Saturday (crosses fingers). I'm on a buddys laptop with a wireless card, I don't think I'll have internet again for a few weeks, need to get my fix in.
Thanks for the support. Hopefully training will be enjoyable, I'm so glad to get out of the BCT enviroment - but right now things can go either way. Need to stay motivated and keep doing the right thing and they might let us have more privledges sooner then later.
PS. North Carolina is hot as hell.
PSS. Snuck a view of the news, you guys in TX hold fast and don't get drowned out by a little hurricane. Don't be stupid, I'll be praying.
Later all, hopefully I'll get on within the next few weeks.
