Re: Rosetta Stone.
Yeah, right now I'm using the Spain version of Spanish, I guess the Castilla spanish and should be okay (Couldn't find the Latin America one), there's a few small word differences though so far so good

Re: Rosetta Stone.
I don't know that I trust this statement. where are your sources for the bilingual nature of 3/4 of the planet? I know missionaries who have been to 30+ countries and from their own accounts, 85-95% of all peoples they encountered only knew the native language. It may be that they were speaking mostly with the poor, but tbh, most of the planet is living in poverty, so my observation stands.
now I would agree that in the countries you mention that a good majority of the educated and wealthy speak multiple languages well enough to communicate at least, but the "wealthy" account for only 5% of the planet.Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. -Albert Einstein

Re: Rosetta Stone.
I think the Team America producers had their cast use this for the arabic language -- and if you've seen the movie you know the results were stunning!

Re: Rosetta Stone.
I fail to see how thats helpful. Rosetta Stone is a very good language program. I've used it to learn to communicate in two different languages. I also know for a fact that the arabic modules are very very good. My ex used them to learn arabic and now has the ability to serve as a basic translator for her CSH in Iraq.
