I've created a monster! [Gun porn]

So I posted about buying my first pistol a while back. I've put about 1500 rounds through it since then, and have taken the wife out to the range a few times. The first time she struggled a bit as she couldn't quite reach the bolt release on the Ruger with her right thumb, and it made her have to shift the gun around a lot.

The next time we went she wanted to rent a small revolver, the range officer suggested getting a larger one to reduce recoil, and we got a S&W 686 6" with both .38 and .357 ammo. I thought she might like the .38 more and I'd use the .357 ammo.

As it turns out, she really liked shooting a revolver. She started with the .38s, then tried a few of the .357s. Turned to me, commented on the difference in report and recoil, and then said: "Wait a minute, did you get me girlie ammo?!".

    Heh.

Anyway, she felt that it was her turn to get a gun, a 6" revolver in .357 with adjustable sights. I suggested keeping an eye open for a Ruger GP100, and getting it at some point in the future.

Well... today we went to the range again. I brought my .22 and also rented a Glock 19/9mm as I'm looking to buy one in the near future. She liked the Glock OK, but when we left she suggested we stop by a local police supply store to check out their used section.

We went inside and looked at stuff and tried holding few just to try them out, and we both found exactly what we wanted.

A Colt Peacekeeper 6" .357 with adjustable sights.

I'd say the condition is about 98% with only the faintest of drag lines on the cylinder. It's much more visible with the camera flash than it is in person. No scratches at all, no visible wear on the muzzle or top strap.

So yeah, she's happy, I'm happy, but I also fear what I've started here...

    To the gunnies:
How do you stop buying guns? And how do you make sure to have a bigger gun than your wife does, dammit.

Not a bad idea to buy all your guns before the financial markets are completely obliterated. I know I'm going ammo shopping today.

I know. I'm saying that I think it's very "pretty". In fact I love Glocks. Very mature and simple (yet elegant) design. At least in my book.
