You're not all the way out of the woods yet, right? How's he doing? They let him wake up yet?

We'll keep praying that all the post-surgery stuff goes well!

Sorry I haven't been able to give any udates for the past couple of days it has been kinda crazy.

My Dad is doing OUTSTANDING!!! In fact he walked about half way down the hall this morning!! He is getting regular doses of pain medication to keep him comfortable but he is doing really good. He is very awake now and he has good color. He will be moved out of the ICU tomorrow and that is when the education will begin for not just him but the entire family. The machine they installed is an amazing piece of technology.

Thanks again to everyone for their well wishes and prayers. You guys really came through for us!!!

Well guys I am happy to report that my Dad will be coming home tomorrow. This Heartmate II is an amazing piece of technology. It will be 13 days (which is a new record for getting out) since his open heart surgery and I don't know if you'd be able to tell the difference other than the external leads and control box. He feels great for the first time in a LONG LONG time and you can just see it in his attitude and spirit. Thanks again to everyone for the well wishes and prayers. You guys are the best
