Re: Things i have learned from living in alabama

I live in Wisconsin, and I have seriously seen people flying the confederate flag here. And they were born in Wisconsin.

I have also seriously debated hurting these people physically. I mean really, what does it take to prove that the confederacy lost the war? How can you even fly that flag in Wisconsin without proclaiming an advanced case of stupidity at the same time!?

I'm actually quite sure that the majority of real southern people are far more intelligent than those who are 'wannabe-southerners'

Re: Things i have learned from living in alabama

Here in West Virginia I have met a lot of people that are wise in their own way. Like my ex in-laws. Hardly ever came out of the hills for anything, they knew what plants would heal or cure almost any ailment a person may have. Made or grew most of their own stuff they may need. Made only enough money to pay any taxes that needed paying such as vehicle and land tax once a year but still they were pretty much happy. So in a way most people I have met in WV are smart as hell. some of the people from the cities of WV I am not so sure about though, I have laughed pretty hard at them. A few actually think milk, eggs, flour, bread, and all types of meat come ONLY from a store. Ask them where the store gets this stuff from and they may say it is made there at the store and I am being dead serious about that.

Sound a little like Alaska, except with Snow, Duct Tape, fewer snakes and more bears.

If I was going to take the time to do one for Alaska, it would start with

Helping to look for someone's kid because there is a bear in the neighborhood is perfectly normal.

Might as well. The rebels may have won the war that day but the Tories are the ones that run the country today. Check out the list of grievances in the Declaration of Independence and note how many are back to haunt us.
