    Not sure what the title of this thread ('E-Male on YouTube) says about the state of language but...

    As much as I've disagreed with you in past sandbox discussions, you actually seem like a pretty cool prof. You are obviously one of the educators that students will remember forever. Thanks for sharing the vid! Good stuff.

    i like it emale, the nerve people have of answering a phone in class. Reminds me of all the people i take the train in the morning with who blab on and on, or have their ringers on high. The nerve that student had to answer the phone in class......

    I lecture on the subject of new media, YouTube and so forth, at the University of Ottawa. I saw a video of a French professor smashing some guy's laptop (it was an April Fools joke pulled on the class). So I suggested to one of my classes that we make a fake 'Angry Prof' video.

    Now I am looking for other stuff to smash in class...

    Also, as to the 'why' -- I have been studying and writing about online behaviour from what is called the auto-ethnographic approach, which involves fully experiencing the thing that is studied and incorporating ones own experience into the subject of analysis. So I try to experience many aspects of the Internet (within the law...), such as blogging, making vids, online gaming, web development, online publishing, and so forth.
