Re: Tom Clancy's Hawx anyone?
I am debating getting it. Looks great and while I am not great at flying... I sure do enjoy it.

Re: Tom Clancy's Hawx anyone?
they need to release a demo. Id probably get it, if the demo was okay
that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Re: Tom Clancy's Hawx anyone?
Well i just read a hands on preview of the game. i think i will pass on this one. Actually i think i will run away from this one and hide if it comes near me.
Thething that really made me shudder was the part in the preview where it mentioned "Drifting" the plane. A kind of aerial U-turn.
That was enough for me.

Re: Tom Clancy's Hawx anyone?
I think it will be like the latest Need for Speed, only in the air and with missiles. So it could be fun if you like action but won't be anything like the real thing (or a "simulator" that deserves the name).

Re: Tom Clancy's Hawx anyone?
Judging from the videos I've seen it's not much of a sim. I doubt I could keep up with a full simulation military flight sim, but at the same time Hawx looks like a Flight sim the same way MechAssault was a Mech Warrior Game. Yes, it has airplanes in it, no, it's not a flight sim.

Think Ace Combat, not Lock On... Still looks fun to me, though.

Re: Tom Clancy's Hawx anyone?
i just played the demo on xbox....i quit mid way thru the tutorial. They make you do some sort of out of cockpit flying type deal, yeah made me about puke. I was supposed to kill these drones but i couldn't get any tone because the damn thing would just fly behind me and stay their, so i quit.
graphics looked neat. and i would have probably kept playing had the tutorial been better.that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Re: Tom Clancy's Hawx anyone?
They said on the Gamers W/ Jobs podcast today that the flight mechanics are horrendous. That's too bad, I wouldn't mind playing a good arcade flyer, but not if it stinks. Is there a PC demo out?
