    I have had very heated, and drunken, discussions about this.

    I know it is saying "Reved up like a deuce, another runner in the night." That is the way I heard it the first time many, many years ago. The deuce referring to a fast car.

    If you notice it is talking about rock band life and thus drugs. That fits with what I believe that line to be.
