    Arrow Aspiring chefs & foodies

    Anyone else here love food (cooking...eating..eating) as much as I do?

    I made a social group for anyone else who happens to enjoy indulging in ze fine cuisine. I saw a thread with some great recipes so I know you guys are out there!

    I enjoy the cooking and eating parts. The parts afterward not so much.

    Most of the stuff I cook is Chinese and Taiwanese stuff (not the Americanized Chinese food one usually finds in restaurants).

    nothin' like firing up a BBQ! but i do make some fine desserts from time to time again cooking and eating is fune cleaning? ugh

    The BBQ is definitely the way to go for big groups...and luckily it doesn't need to be cleaned too often either!

    I think it would be cool to have a forum section just to talk about food. Suggested name: Mess Hall. There are several threads that could be migrated there, including Tactical Recipes, the beer threads, and the various mentions of heart-unhealthy burger places.

    wait there is a beer thread?
    i love to cook and know im at university its cheaper to go to the local market and get a load of fresh produce and cook them. I recenlty made a beef stew with a pint of guiness in it. Delicious and i made enought that i can freeze it up and eat it at another time

    The great thing about stew is that it's perfect for leftovers - what's left just gets even more delicious the longer you let it sit because it marinates itself, making the flavor more and more intense. Always make a lot!

    I missed that thread, and searching for "scanwiches" doesn't turn it up. Cute idea. Not a good site to go to when you're hungry.
