Teens Capture Amazing Shots 20 Miles from Earth's Surface with a Balloon

Teens Capture Amazing Shots 20 Miles from Earth's Surface with a Balloon
Just saw it at Gizmodo. The kids did it with around a few hundred dollars. Now I'm tempted to try this myself some day.

I would like to try that... And of course, there is the 'launching a rocket into space from the balloon' bit...

I'm amazed that the balloon landed only 6 miles from the start point. One would think that getting that high up, it would have drifted much further off course.

NEWSFLASH....... Space Shuttle badly damaged by what astronauts are describing as a "Teddy" flying at 17,000 mph! The British Prime minister has been asked by NASA if the "attack" was in revenge for "Beagle2!!"
