Apparently these folks haven't been shocked before because the last time I saw a taser deployed... the object in their hand remained there through clenched hands. Looks completely useless if you ask me. I mean sure, you're gonna get somebody good if they too oblivious to notice the damn electrical current running through it. But you have to touch the button to get it going.
There are so many flaws, but atleast it's another step in advanced technology.
