Re: Car Repair
There are indeed general repair books. A good place to look would be your local library. I bet you could find something there. However, it'll be much easier if you can find a book specific to your car to get all the proper torque specs, bolt locations, part locations, etc.

Also, dig around some of the forums for FSM's (field service manuals). I found a PDF version of the FSM for my wife's Highlander stickied in one of the toyota forums.

Re: Car Repair
Chilton is a better manual than Haynes(usually) but I have not had any luck finding Haynes or Chilton repair manuals for your car. Also, Autozone might have some basic info on how to do repairs. Depends on the vehicle and year, a lot of newer vehicles they may not have on the website yet.
Forums are also a good way to get some help with some problems, automotiveforums.com seems to be a decent place, they have forums for almost every make and model ever made. Somebody I am sure can help you out in these forums. Also, a lot of simple repairs such as changing oil and such is just common sense. Pay attention how parts come off and you can usually just reverse the order to put it back together.

Re: Car Repair
You could always try and go to the Dealer and ask them to order one for you. They would be expensive, but definitely worth it.
