That does sound like it might be really good scratch.

By the way, where I said "hot water" in the instructions, it was supposed to be "hot cider" but I typed water for some odd reason. Could be, of course, that I was already 3 hot buttered rums deep when I posted my recipe!

Ferris, good recipe. Made a couple small cup w/o whip cream.

This might be a local thing but our local Wal-Marts have a real apple cider on the shelves right now called "Zeigler's Autumn Harvest" that makes this recipe really good.

I think a good apple cider is best. The kind you can't see more than a quarter inch into. Using the typical mass market "ciders" (they are really more of a juice) is ok but not the best.
