Re: Are you ready???
It seems like when I was a kid, hospitals were just getting TV in patient rooms. Often black and white, with extremely poor reception of only the three network stations. Now they have flat panel screens and not too bad of a choice of channels.
I want to know when hospitals are gonna start offering Internet in one's room. My mom's been in the hospital a lot this year and she would have felt a lot less isolated had she her email and web access there.Dude, seriously, WHAT handkerchief?

Re: Are you ready???
Hmm, I'm just north of Berkeley, and haven't heard about Kaiser Permanente (which operates the local hospitals) offering this. Then again, Silicon Valley has some of the worst Internet access in the country, so it wouldn't surprise me if other parts of the SF Bay Area were equally primitive in related areas.
Can you report which hospitals offer this? I'd love to write Kaiser and give them evidence of their competition. They try to sell themselves as technically advanced, so this could be a good spur to get them up to date.Dude, seriously, WHAT handkerchief?
