Good luck, may I ask why you decided to want to serve?

most service branches yes nothing is written in stone, with the Army your selected MOS at MEPS Will be the MOS You will Recieve, there for you know what you're job will be as a definite before going in. the only issue to this rule is that if YOU fail, then they'll set you up in a different MOS.
This is something that's really calling for me, and nothing is for sure yet. I do have a Record, and one of those problems bothered my Recruiter, at this time I might actually be DQ'd however the charge is something he said opens and closes depending on the Needs of the Army, at the moment the Army is doing very well on their Recruiting Quota, at the beginning of 2010, once they're more strained to begin filling that Quota, if I can't get in Now, I'll likely be able to get in next year. for MOS I'm thinking of a 19K or an 11B, something out and about.
rather than an 11B, i'd prefer 18X, BUT I can't get the security clearence untill 6 months after joining the military, so i'd have to do it the traditional way as being an 11B, moving up to E-4, and then going back to "Shool" for an 18 Job

The military will train you in what they need you to do. Nothing you do in the civilian market or job place really transforms or helps you in the military, besides your actual college credits.
Just so you're aware. Don't waste your money or time if you're doing it to look better to the military. Unless you have a GED or no diploma, there's no need. All training is provided.
