Re: NeoTokyo Mod (HalfLife2)
Looks pretty slick. Do you need to have bought a Source game to play it?

Re: NeoTokyo Mod (HalfLife2)
Don't ever play against SamO, he plays this game too much and will walk and down you like it's nothing.
I really don't like CS all that much, but this game I enjoy much more. I feel as though my bullets actually work. I'm still waiting for the round where I get enough points to get the machine gun for the Support class.
Oh and nice video, Lyra.

All you need is a game with Source SDK, the cheapest of which is HL2 Deathmatch for $5.
SamO and I are playing Neotokyo pretty much every night (starting around 8:00pm MST and later). We'll try and make a TS channel the next time we game, so you can join us there if you want. If you want to friend me on Steam, my user ID is charity_case.

Also dd you play a lot of Recon and Support, or a good mix of the three? I was playing a lot of Assault and everyone seemed to light up real well with the thermal vision, even when cloaked (provided they were moving, of course).
And for those not sure they have 12 download sites and a torrent to choose from on their website. And when I played, I spotted around 150 servers up and running.

I started playing the game with Lyramion when it came out and I just could not get into the game for a couple hours. I'd always be dying and getting frustrated at the situation, until I figured out how a lot of the game's features and abilities worked, at which point I could at least understand that I died for a valid reason: namely, that I sucked.
A PSA regarding the vision modes:
-Recon night vision only helps illuminate the dark areas where they often end up while taking flank routes. It does nothing to directly help identify targets, unlike the other two classes.
-Assault motion tracking will illuminate all moving players, cloaked or otherwise, friendly or otherwise. It does NOT penetrate smoke. Beware of using it when clearing areas; while it's still possible to see stationary targets, I have found that I tend to gloss over them as I scan for illuminated targets, leading to embarrassing death.
-Support thermal vision will illuminate all uncloaked players, even through smoke. Cloaked enemies are your bane. Smoke is your friend. Use it to blind other classes, or hide in it, but watch out for enemy Supports.
I've been playing this free game to the exclusion of other games I've paid for, and I don't feel guilty in the slightest.

Re: NeoTokyo Mod (HalfLife2)
Like Fehmart mentioned. At the start it´s really confusing and some of the maps are really complex over multiple hight levels. But I´m still having fun with it.
