Re: Oh no: I'm switching to Comcast
I have comcast and have had them for about 6 or 7 years now. I would say overall they are very good. The customer service can be tricky as with any customer service, sometimes you get a person who knows what they are doing and sometimes you get tard after tard. The prices are very reasonable, I have extended basic with HBO, STARS and a DVR box plus the performance plus internet service all for $75 a month, the trick is, is to go in and ask them to give you a deal or you'll look elsewhere. Now I would have to say that the area I lived previously was plauged with cable & internet issues, then again it was a very older part of town, when I moved to a newer area I haven't had any issues as of yet. Hope this helps..

Re: Oh no: I'm switching to Comcast
TWC - Ah Roadrunner. How spoiled I was by having you when I was with my parents! Ah but with my first place of my own comes the first time I'll have to shop around.
Automatically, I searched long and hard to see if RoadRunner was available in Shreveport Louisiana area... Alas, I'm inconclusive. If RR is available- I'll buy it in a heartbeat. But so far the answer seems to be.. No?
BTW, Did I mention I'm JUST shopping for internet? I think I may never own cable television ever again. I'm seeing if I prefer it...
Also, paying for internet will already be breaking my wallet. So if it came to Internet or Television, I choose Internets.

Re: Oh no: I'm switching to Comcast
I have plain Verizon DSL, it's reliable and i have a decent connection even though the thing goes to server 5 states away before going out to the world. It's a hell of a lot better than the locals.

Re: Oh no: I'm switching to Comcast
When we had comcast we also had to do this. It was funny -- for the first three times. Now we have COX and the internet is much faster, and much cheaper.
@Kin3 we actually had Comcast when I was living in Mobile, Alabama. I hear Comcast has a digital cable monopoly on the city, I received this info from a pretty sketchy source though."Today's public figures can no longer write their own speeches or books, and there is some evidence that they can't read them either." -- Gore Vidal
