i hate comcast... they turned off my G4 after years of having it as a basic cable channel.

This.

All you need to do is present your cheaper plan B, so you know you're serious. How I got every channel in the guide + internet + phone for $139/mo

1) Go to dish or directTV websites and find comparable TV packages (always cheaper).
2) Go to verizon and get quote for DSL + phone package
3) Call comcast and ask if they have any promotional packages available (they wont)
4) Ask if they can match your Dish+Verizon package
5) Reluctantly tell them you guess you'll have to cancel
6) Wait for them to transfer you to the "account retention department" or whatever it's called (this is where the people live that can cut you deals)
7) explain to them your Dish+Verizon deal
8) accept counter offer
