Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
Mother or god....
Some of my fondest gaming memories were playing Mechwarrior 2 over MPlayer. I had a really awesome load out on a Shadow Cat back then. My fellow StarComs and I used to fight much heavier opponents and won most of the time.
Too bad it doesn't look like I'll get some Clan vs IS action, but I'm super excited. I hope someone can mod in Timberwolfs and Shadowcats.

Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
Oh man... if the developers are wise enough to create the extensibility for mod's.... maybe this game will actually last!

Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
Wow, that trailer is crazy. Looks like lots of fun. Last Mech game I played, was MechAssault, but it never gave you the "feeling" of being big, and in a mech. This looks like it will rock.

Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
I do have a history with Battlemechs and Mechwarrior games. The Trailer looks... idk.. slightly underwhelming lol
I really loved the Ghost Bear intro back then!

Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
You just like it because the vulture (which gets stomped on) looks like a 2142 walker with arms.

Speaking of old mechs, if they dont bring back the timber wolf and the nova from MW2, I'm going to be severely angry.

Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
YES, I have LOVED MW ever since I was LITTLE and played MW2 ATI rage edition for the first time. Loved MW3 and the one time I played 4 was great too. This is beyond awesome. When it comes out I may have to take a LOA from 2142!
And ferris, I agree. Those were great mechs.

Full HP trailer:
Full HP Trailer
I mean the graphic is good but... why would that litle mech hop on a building infront of the clearly better mech?
Then the Atlas comes and there is this whole lot of waddling back and forward between them both... like wtf? It hurts my Mech heart to see those uncoordinated movements

Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
Yep. Timber Wolf and Nova were Clan tech. Later on the Inner Sphere copied the designs... Timber Wolf was named Mad Cat, and... actually, I can't remember if the Nova was copied.
The Thor and Loki were my favorites. I loaded them up in bruiser configs, maxed out with LBX-5/10/20 autocannons (think various calibers of gigantic shotguns).--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blah blah blah.

Re: New Mechwarrior announced + trailer.
LOL, the old trailers haven't aged very well, have they?
This should bring back some memories. "Image enhancement... engaged."

My favorite intro of the series.
