This Is What It Feels Like To Fly In a U2 Spy Plane
This was just posted on Gizmodo.com, and it is the segment when Top Gear got to ride a U2 to the edge of the atmosphere. I got chills a few times just watching.

They need to start selling ticketsThe Lockheed U2 is an amazing plane, developed to spy enemy countries by the CIA and the United States Air Force. Flying at 70,000 feet, the U2 can fly day or night, rain or sun, photographing ground facilities on very short notice, something that satellites can't do.

I think they do sell tickets...At about half a million a seat

That video was breathtaking, though. James May is a lucky guy.

Man I watched that in awe. I would take a job on Top Gear over £5 million I reckon. It is almost a priceless job. Certainly some of the best TV ever produced, and I don't even think this show WAS topgear!

Re: This Is What It Feels Like To Fly In a U2 Spy Plane
I saw that too
It was among a bunch of space related shows being shown, as Browna said, for the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing. So not Top Gear...but those guys still get to do some awesome stuff.

He is totally correct about saying that if people were able to do that once it would change the face of human interaction with this amazing planet we live on.
Lets send all our presidential leaders up there. Give them a real show of what they are destroying really is worth saving...
