I thought we were supposed to have equal rights? Not to put people into groups and then promote/protect one group above another? Be it good intentions or bad, there is no difference that it is pure racism period.

I've heard that the gay marriage initiative in California was shot down due to the high minority turnout to vote for Obama. Apparently whites are more open-minded about gays as minorities tend to be more religious.
