Re: Stargate Universe
(spoiler)
Rush probably suspected but he couldn't say that. It was a better solution to let people try to escape as who knows if the ship would actually make it through it's routine refueling.
The evil part could be to reduce the amount of people on the ship to allow them to survive longer on the ship if he did know.

Agreed, theres no way he could have known what was about to happen for sure.

Re: Stargate Universe
I can't help but think of Blade Runner every time I hear the music in SGU (especially at the 2:45 mark).
And the ship camera takes are definitely ripoffs of BSG.
But ripoffs are ok, as long as they do a good job

A couple of my Guildies turned me on to this show after I scoffed at someone not playing to watch an episode. So I watched online and WOW this show is actually good. After BSG ended I thought why they will never put up a show like that again. While SGU is no BSG its good to see Scyfy original series still chugging. Reminds me of USA network in the 90s.

If Rush really knew then they would have kept more supplies on ship. Rush even told the soilders that they recovered them for the supplies not the personel. But why ruin a mystery.
Um... heres a question the gravity at the center of the star would prob do more damage then the heat but damn. If a shield is protecting the craft how does energy transfer through? Not real questions btw. Also maybe they will be able to fly through a black hole and be able to actually see the star at the center! (black hole is star with gravity so strong light cannot escape) that would be cool.
About Eli. - Purely for Audience identification. So thats what producers think their core audience represents and they are prob not wrong. I think he is ok, but 1. Why would they turn to him, Ep2 i think, ever he is a kid. Im sure no commanding officer would look to him for answers but its a show and part of the story i guess. 2. *spoiler* I think its hilarious that the Soilder dude gets to nail the hot female officer and Eli's girl, senators daughter, and as the ship is nearing the star and all are about to die she will cuddle with him but he gets no action. I thought that to be an interesting character development. Not even when death is iminate can Eli get laid.

I love this show. My favorite is still Stargate Atlantis though. Mckay was fricking awesome.
I just finished watching all the seasons the other day and man I miss that show.

Slap Amanda Tapping in the command chair and that will rock SGU. As you all have said it is going to be a good show. The characters they have are going to mature. It will never replace StarGate or Atlantis but it is giving it a different spin.
I am waiting to see who the bad guys are going to be.

Hehe. I was thinking, "Man, Tapping's getting old- oh, wait. Not as old as Bubba, though."

You've got that right, the show just got some massive depth.
So, the last part of the show, were they looking through another Keno's data recording?|TG-12th|Undead

Agreed, so, is next week like part 2. You have to assume they live, because they altered the past to tell them the cure. However who knows if they still figured that out, and get the aliens and make the cure in time to save the life's. Guessing next week episode will change that.

Based on my DVR's pre-loaded two line description of next weeks episode, I think we can safely assume they got the cure.
