Re: Shattered Horizon
I'm currently running...
-E4300 (intel core2duo) @ 3.0Ghz
-ATI HD4890
- 4 GB 1000mhz DDR2
- Creative X-fi
My in-game settings
-1680x1050
-Anti-Aliasing 2x
-all other settings maxed except Vsync.
It runs pretty smoothly. I'm not sure of the exact frames.
The main killer it seems in this game beyond all else is smoke. Smoke brings me down to around 30 fps and maybe lower if I'm moving quickly and in the middle of a firefight. I'm sure if I turned down the setting for it my fps would increase a whole lot. It's just so purty!

Re: Shattered Horizon
Of everyone playing this game, are you beginning to find spawn camping getting a bit out of control?

Re: Shattered Horizon
Not really, because you can avoid it. Maneuver with jets as you're "zooming in". You can also fire grenades and your gun on the way in. If your spawn is being camped, a well placed EMP or Munitions grenade can solve the problem very quickly.

Re: Shattered Horizon
I just bought it tonight, and man, it is a really cool game! But holy crab are the players good! I was getting rocked left and right! Probably just need more practice, not used to twirling around space

Would love to play a few games with some TG folk

Re: Shattered Horizon
I actually don't meet the min spec! My CPU is an AMD 4400+, clocked to 2.55 though. I'm tempted to get it just to see how sluggish it feels.

Re: Shattered Horizon
Pretty good game here, hope they release an sdk with dedicated server files as well. This game could be huge if the community is able to mod and make maps.

Re: Shattered Horizon
They've said theyre going to be releasing the dedicated server files in the next couple weeks (they wanted to use their own servers for the initial launch so they could fix major problems if there were any). As far as the SDK, I have no idea.

Re: Shattered Horizon
It's fun, there's a lot of depth to what seems like such a simplistic formula. Zero G space battle, no load out options, only one weapon, etc. It's very well polished, and I'm glad the really tied the recoil to your flight (more accurate when feet are on the ground).
I'd kinda like to see more creative maps. Don't get me wrong, the default maps are nice, but I'd like maybe some more interior maps. An SDK would be awesome.
One question, do my bullets move faster when I'm boosting forward than if I were to manuver backwards and fire?

Re: Shattered Horizon
According to physics they would (nothing to decrease the forward momentum of the bullet without friction and gravity) but I doubt very seriously that theres any kind of damage modifier for it.

Re: Shattered Horizon
I've gotten the server files but we need the new windows 2008 server OS to host them. Hopefully this will be coming around in our new server switch over.
