Ok folks, lets talk 2012 the Movie. What did you think? I saw it today.
I thought the computer graphics were pretty good. Maybe even ground breaking so to say, but at the same time, there were scenes that looks pretty bad, almost like a video game. Especially during that drive through downtown L.A.
And, of course, that movie had to have those cheesy moments.. like when the ground breaks between that husband and wife in the store when they were talking about how crappy their marriage is. Oh, and of course, the other 4th wheel husband had to be off'd so the star could hook back up with his children's mother. he can't cheat of course, we gotta kill that dude off. What better way than to crush him.
I did like how they showed that the Arks were built for the wealthy to survive, I think that reflects reality. Evil human nature. That's probably how it would go down in all honesty lets face it. Most of you wouldn't tell old GeneralCarver about an ark if you had a free ride on it.
What were your favorite parts?
Think we could make an ArmA 2 mission based off it? We could use the large frigate ships and college them with a few buildings to make the "arks". lol. And of course, we could develop some cheesy story to go along with it.

There was too much "hollywood - unpossible stuff". Like the guy driving limousine through city that is falling apart and he survives without being injured, while people around are dying in so many different and original ways. There is also scene in which White House and President is smashed by Aircraft carrier - big LOL.

I never knew they would take ideas from Bible. My first thought before the movie started was that some underground vaults were being constructed, which is more likely to happen in real event.
Finally, I liked to movie, and everyone should go see it, at least for special effects.
However, be ready for some very cheese scenes.

I thought it was a decent movie.

the same thing is going to happen on 12/21/12 that happend for Y2K. Everyone is going to bum rush Wal-Mart and buy all the canned food and bottled water they can. They are going to sit in thier bathtubs with blankets on thier heads listening to the radio. Then when the time comes and passes and nothing happens these morons will "emerge" from thier sanctuary and promptly make fun of everyone else because of the insecurities that they have. Everyone will lose thier minds then when its all over will be like "oh....im an IDIOT. *chuckle like an fool* Guess I should look for a job now cause I kicked the office managers desk over. Hey it was going to be the end of the world right?"

Oh yea, always be prepared.
I wont take any chances, even if nothing happens, im sure there will be chaos. Thats what bothers me the most. Panic and fear make people goofy and unpredictable. So, with this in mind, I for one will be locked and loaded with my my 2 boys at my side just incase people decide to go goofy.

I keep a kit for emergency for a week of food, water, batteries and a first aid kit because we have big wind storms here in the winter. People should have that just for power outages and such. The 2k1 debacle should have been a lasting reminder of what fools people can be, but it won't so "The Sky Is Falling" crowd will have their day. By some chance that it were true you couldnt stop it or prepare for it anyway.. nowhere to run nowhere to hide. Jaysus I'm scarin myself now!
