Remeberance Day
Here in the UK we remember those who fought and those who died on this day, 11th November. This day was brought about after the 1st World War and remembers those that fought then, and also those that fight now for our country.
Thanks, J. |

Re: Remeberance Day
In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

Re: Remeberance Day
all of us who remember our countrymen from time ago, and still of time to come, can only wish Two things for the sacrifices that these people have given us,
1. we will never forget the sacrifices made 2. we will live our lives forever in debt to all and forever greatful to the freedom we share. . . . . . For every soldier who has died so that i can live in freedom...

Re: Remeberance Day
The Reason For Remembering
free·dom The condition of being free of restraints. Liberty of the person from slavery, detention, or oppression. Political independence. Exemption from the arbitrary exercise of authority in the performance of a specific action; civil liberty: freedom of assembly. Exemption from an unpleasant or onerous condition: freedom from want. The capacity to exercise choice; free will <--- the most important
