Tried it. Hated it.
Didn't work half of the time. I could be playing in a server with someone and Xfire wouldn't know it.
I also believe that it caused some of my games to crash. I couldn't get it to work at all with DoD or CS, but that didn't concern me at the time. But it caused BF:1942 and Desert Combat to crash often. Their tech support is exactly what you would expect for a free product, too.

ok guys post up if you have Xfire
my ID is : newswrthy
OK it works fine with steam for me even shows how long I played NS only it shows it as Half Life but it worked.Last edited by NewsWrthy; 12-26-2004 at 10:47 PM.

When I register, does putting TG in front of my name make it easier to find people? Like in JO, where you can put in the first two letters and everyone whose name begins with "tg" shows up?

From what I can tell you can't search for incomplete names. You use Tools to Add a friend and then search for their full name.
