my computer screwed on me this morning and i lost my 40 gb hard drive. this meant that i should just put in my new 60 gb hard drive into the computer...and after stressful times and careful plannings, i have nearly recovered all my data. my 40 gb hard drive is now in an enclosure.

i do want to thank DdogG for sharing his story about his computer breaking down, it made me believe in myself that i could fix my computer without resorting to panic alone.
