Ugh... Doesn't sound like a fun holiday season... Makes for some nice paychecks, though, I bet...

If it makes you feel better, this was my absolute worst Thanksgiving. I started getting sick on Sunday, by Tuesday the flu had me almost completely unable to get out of bed. Thursday morning, I'm well enough to be walking around like a zombie to get myself Gatorade since I'm so dehydrated. Wife asks if I'd please come over to the inlaws for the day. Sigh, "yes, dear". I like my inlaws. A lot. It was just at that point in time, I wasn't sure if I even liked being alive... So, I go over for breakfast: homemade cinnamon rolls. Mmm, the coffee sure was good. I hadn't eaten anything solid in three days, those gooey cinnamon rolls were NOT about to be the first thing to explore my gut. Then came the football game and the snackies. I skipped the deviled eggs completely, but carefully tested out my stomach on the various crackers, chips, dips and sliced cheeses. Things seemed to be working properly! After the Packers got stuffed, we sat down for dinner. To my horror, after only a few bites of turkey, ham and mashed potatoes, I was too full to finish even a small plateful of food. Here I sat with this enormous feast in front of me (there were about 20 different dishes being served for 11 people), and I couldn't even manage to taste everything. I took a few more bites, but started to feel a bit, um, queasy, so decided not to push it any more... Luckily my fever broke that night, as I had to work yesterday. Last nights leftovers were yummy, BTW. And I don't think I've ever quite looked forward to the leftover turkey sandwiches like I am this year...

It was kinda nice to see the Cowboys humiliated like that, though... :P
