anybody here use a half-life spray maker?
i'd like to know a respectable and effective spray logo maker other than "decal converter" and "wally"

You can't use custom decals in any tg servers.
And the combo you mentioned is the best out there.

Actually, it is perfectly acceptable to use custom decals on the TFC and the CS servers. You can also create custom decals to use on the OpFlash servers.

I just had my custom spray show up on the NS server two nights ago... so I'm guessing all is well there.
Here's what I use to make my sprays... pretty decent and user-friendly.

The ability to upload and download custom sprays on the public NS server has been disabled, as a recent rcon exploit has been announced which is possible when uploads and downloads from the server are enabled.

Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Even if I put them on the server (something I know not how to do without the same capability that's been disabled), no one would be able to download them into their client to see them on the walls as the walls are rendered.

I thought Downloads only could be enabled? Would that be exploitable?

The advisory explained sv_allowdownload as exploitable. Without the ability to download, there's no reason for clients to be uploading, so we disabled them both.
