    k, here's a question a cubie and I were thinking....

Supposedly this rover is limited to 600 meters or somthing over it's lifespan because after that much time, dust will have collected on the solar panels, rendering no re-charge to the batteries...

Why not install a wiperblade? (or a can of air to spray it off?)

I haven't done a lick of research, but my thought is that it would depend on whether the dust is simply covering the panels or actually eroding/damaging them.

no way...the rover is good for way more than that. The first little one lasted like 10x than what they expected.

Have to think about battery life time aswell, would it be worth the expence of the battery to install whipers/aerosol. Any extra energy used would be less it could travel before dying. maybe the battery dies/almost dies after 600 meters.

Remembering recent history, it could go 600 inches or 600 miles.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Ever watched Robot Wars? I wouldn't be suprised if the rover has some kind of self righting mechanisim that some people design into their robots.
