Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

College actually. It was a programming degree, so that made it alot easier Still, if you know where to look a lot of money can be saved.

I beg to differ, from my reckoning this type of thing has kept most of us pretty "interested" for quite some time now...

You liked it so much you bought the company, so to speak.

As for Halo, I really liked the single player, and I've found the multiplayer fun at some X-Box lans I've attended, but it didn't strike me as anything I'd want to play on a daily, or even constant basis. It was just pretty much deathmatch with pretty models and graphics.

The multi player is fun for short periods of time. Allthough we had a group that would play for hours at a stretch it got old after a while. Now that they have the options in to take care of tk'ers I imagine the multi would be alot better now.
In my opinion the levels with vehicles would give everyone the best time. You can really customize the game types quite a bit which is really cool.

I will never forget the night Addict made mean remarks about my warthog driving skills and I made 3 consecutive flag runs and scored 3 times in a row against his team. Of course I had messiah running gunner for me. I shut him up on that one. Aaaaah the good ol days. Too bad there are no more cracked servers.

OMG what are you smoking? Unless Halo's level designs were changed for the PC, and i doubt it, Halo's single player is the dumbest thing ever to grace any FPS. It goes like this:

"Wow, cool bridge, nice graphics, decent AI, immaculate texturework... awesome..."

    2 minutes later...

"Wait, didn't I pass this bridge already? Except, now there's one block in the way..."

    2 more minutes later

"OMG THERE'S THAT SAME DAMN BRIDGE AGAIN WHY WHY ME WHY MORE ENEMIES WHY THE SAME BRIDGE SHOOT ME NOW ::FALL::"

of course, this is not even mentioning the fact that every building has multiple levels of... the EXACT SAME THING. YAY FOR LEVEL DESIGN.

I would rather shoot myself in the face with a nailgun than play Halo single player. Now on coop it's a different story. Teamwork and driving/gunning are awesome.

Multiplayer is where it's at, fellas. Halo kicks ass for multi, because it's control scheme is probably the best to grace console systems. The Xbox has good triggers, and that's about it :P the button layout is still ****ty and the control sticks are big like a black man's... ... well you know. Gargantuan masadonic, dinosauric... xbox controller....

As for PC, it seems to work out fine.

    *cough*

All the corridoors and rooms are so freekin similar... I'm at the point where I just want to get back outside and stay there..

And there's so many of these little ooompa-loompa things....

run, shoot, duck, reload, shoot, duck, reload, clear room, go to another room, rinse, repeat

GaaH!! I hate this game. Well I did when it didn't save my progression and put me back 4 levels. Screw going through that again on the hardest 'suicide' difficulty - well it wasn't really suicide but some parts I had to play 10 times over to get through (lol most of which were the parts I was put back to).

So now I'm playing it on normal and I got through all that I did before and more in half as much time. That assault rifle actually works and the pistol rocks lol. Though now I can run right into the middle of the aliens and kill em all in one mad dash. Wait to recharge and do the same again.

Sasuke, lol, you're so right. How many bloody times do I have to run across the same bridge and the same room.

Do you ever get the feeling of De Ja Vu?

Those oompa loompa things are just daft and sound to 'cute' to be evil aliens hell bent on destruction (though they're really funny when you get a sticky frag on em).

The ship is the same - run through endless corridors that look exactly the same shooting the same aliens with the same guns *yawn*

I thought there was a story to this? So far I just get endless supplies of aliens and 3 story line parts so far.

1 - The ship is gonna blow up and is crash landing on Halo
2 - Halo may be a weapon so get to the cartographer 1st (through more levels looking the same)
    3 - Oh, Looks like I miscounted

I really don't see what the fuss was about this game. I see nothing special here except the hype that went around it.

See you on the MP battlefields...

    Thanks,

    J.
