FarCry Demo anyone? (SCREENSHOT INTENSIVE)
I downloaded the FarCry single player demo today and played it through. To sum it up: rather impressive. The environments were pretty large and the graphics were quite pretty. The physics in the game were very HL2-like in some aspects and there is a lot of interactive stuff in the demo level.
I grabbed some screenshots, they by no way represent the whole demo. There were a few vehicles that you could drive that I didn't get any pictures of and I don't think you see hardly any of the variety of weaponry.



Yes, you can shoot the birds..





I shot an explosives crate up on the top level, it caused the various containers to fall over the edge, one of which crushed the soldier standing in front of me.








This whole scene was really cool. Fire racing along the pipes on the left while hearing it raging up the corridor behind me..

In multiplayer, I can only say that snipers will be absolutely lethal. The cover is phenominal and they can blend in soooo well hidden in the tall grasses yet get a fantastic FOV.
I'm not sure that this is going to be THE new blockbuster game, but it certainly was fun to play...

Picked it up off of FilePlanet.. Top of the page.
I'm going to have it up on TG tomorrow.

I really enjoied the game. Normally I dont enjoy single player games... but I found myself wanting to try new ideas each time. I actually made it through the whole demo without firing a single bullet. You can try many diffrent playing styles.
The game looks great and the dynamics are nice. Cant wait to shoot at some Tg players.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

You don't need a really stoned, er, I mean fast computer to run this game!

Thanks for the screenies apo. I agree that snipers are going to be tough on this game (hehe :twisted: ), maybe we should start learning some sniper-hunting tactics.
For years I've been wanting to try some jungle warfare out and this seems pretty close. GR's IT addon wasn't dense enough but this look the ticket.Jex.

I played it for about 5 mins before bed lastnight and I think its pretty cool so far. I will play it some more when I get home.
