Tactical Gamer Forums Upgrades!
Tomorrow (Tuesday, February 17th) morning at around 10:00 EST we will begin migrating our forums over to a new platform. Many of you have had an opportunity to check out the new software we will be moving to and many of you may remember back when we used vBulletin in the past.
During this upgrade, the forums will be offline for approximately 2 hours while we migrate and import all of the posts and user accounts over. Once this migration has been complete, we will begin re-assigning admin rights to the appropriate forums and then bring them back on-line.
If you would like a sneak-peak at the new forums, you can check out our "staging" version of the forum migration HERE. This staging forum is fully functional, but will be erased when we make the final migration.
This upgrade is being made because of a wide variety of feature requests that our membership base has made as well as our desire to be able to offer expanded forums services and control to our members.

Are we going to have to re-register? Or will our old username\password still work?

Nope.. Your old usernames/passwords will still work, all the posts are there, and all user stats will stay as well. Go take a look at the link in the announcement above. You can log into the staging forums and poke around if you want right now. Your account will work.

Will signatures be disabled in this incarnation as well? I noticed they are currently active.

Nope. They will be available in the new forums. They are active but just may not be active for all user groups right now. Access permissions are very limited on the current staging site, it was more set up to test specific access groups.
Users will have the ability to globally turn off signatures if they don't want to see them or don't want to add the bandwidth overhead needed to download them all.

Looks nice. I had to force refresh (ctrl-F5) to get Opera to show me as logged in after I entered username/pass but its all fine now. GJ as ever.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Will signatures be limited in size? I don't have an issue with signatures overall, but if someone has a signature that in itself is a page length long, then that becomes an issue.
