They are ok....
On the downside:
-I don't like the way quick reply works.
-The forums should be expanded to work with 1024x768.
-The way everyone's posts appear just gets on my nerves...I don't know why, but it's just confusing where the names are and everything. I like the old forums' style better.
-Profile pictures need to be bigger. I mean, if we're going to upload pictures of ourselves to our profile, how are we supposed to fit them in a 100x100 space?
On the upside:
-Sigs are back. Yay!
- The reputation feature is awesome.
- There are a lot of misc. cool features.
All in all, if all the kinks get straightened out, and the person's info is put to the side of the message rather than on the top, i would vote these forums a full 5.

You should be able to see your reputation in your User CP. You can see all the reputation you've received and for which threads you posted in.

I was going to add another comment to say that the first comment was false and an act of foolishness. After I had the comment all written out, it said I couldn't give a post reputation twice. So it looks like you come out on top on that one.

Overall I like it. There are a few visual anomalies that I find wierd.
The biege area to the right will dissapear if you right click over there.

Miko, they work fine at 1024* 768.
Image size. Not everyone has broadband.

Overall I think the new forums are okay, few things i'm not to sure about like the "Old School" as B put it, ranking system for number of post and the reputation thing is well different not sure yet if i like it or don't like it can't really see myself using it all that much. Other than that it was just abit confussing at first but will just take some getting use to.

I get the same thing as HSantal. This is any time I'm sending a message, even a private message. I'm using the standard editor option and the Opera browser. It works fine in IE.

It's fixed now that the forums scale its resolution.

It looks like the problem is gone with the new screen sizes.
There are actually 11 Smilies on the right to choose from.
And boxed with red x's that I didn't see before.

I wish the user that is posting and their info in the header of each post was on the left instead. The one line replies take up too much room right now.
I wish the quick reply was just enabled instead of having to hit "Quick Reply" in a particular post.
I wish I new where the "Mark all as read" was???(I'm looking around, I'll find it....)(aha! "Quick Links", got it)
For some reason it seems to me that the *Green* icon would mean unread messages, and the *yellow* one would mean already read. I think this is because the yellow one is more washed out/greyed out looking to me, which I associate with non-active. The Green one stands out more on my screen, so draws my attention, making me think something is active there.
Still, it's a message board. It works. gets a 4.Last edited by Addict; 02-18-2004 at 02:50 PM.
