Re: Battlefield 2 Retail

I don't plan on purchasing it. 32v32 is too big for me; even within 6 person squads, the gameplay didn't feel personal at all, it was like playing with a handful of guys on a team of bots. I'll consider it if TG puts out a smaller server that isn't supporting-only, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Did you play here during the demo period? If not, you missed the chance, and if you're waiting for the demo to convince you now, you're probably not going to get what you're looking for.
Leaving the scrap is right.

I'm *probably* going to be purchasing BF2, but I have not been able to afford it yet. I did play a bit during the demo on the TG server, and it was great in general gameplay, and even so much better on that TG only night. Since the retail came out though, I have been very discouraged to even play the game because of the TERRIBLE quality of games that I have had with the scrap players that are left playing the demo. I can promise you, as someone who has played the demo with the real players, and with the crappy scrap players, the difference is understated by simply saying it's a night and day difference. The difference in the quality of game, teamplay, etc, is just totally terrible now compared to what it was with the real players.

Please, do Not take the teamplay of the players in the demo as a reference of what it will be in the real game.

ya, mito's right. the scraps are left behind to play the demo. (including myself, sadly.) i have yet to get around to buying the game. i do believe that the whole game is way, way better than the demo with more functions and options and kits and planes and tanks........... you get the poing

Re: Battlefield 2 Retail

I have been playing this game for a week and a half and I think it is great. Now all I have to do is figure out how to fly the chopper and shoot at the same time.

I'd settle for just learning the former.

Re: Battlefield 2 Retail

Its hard enough for me to find time for NS and my handful of other games as it is--I probably won't get BF2 just cause I don't need another source of time drain.

(And NS2.01 was better...)

Talking Geez I thought this was a mature group/forum

I purchased to pre-order copies (one for me one for son) and use the free headsets that weren't as cheap as I thought they were going to be all the time.

After roughly a month pf playing our small group is enjoying it more and more all the time, and our progress shows.

There are issues, major issues, with the program and patches but having been keeping up a continual barrage of concerns with ea games. I'll post via BF2 Bugs.

Looing forward to what they might do with this game.

Re: Battlefield 2 Retail

I'm not going to get it because EA is a crappy company who release games with tons of bugs in them, and dont support the community who buy their games. I'll keep playing Desert Combat, thanks.
