    Sold for a little over $10,000. If any of you are familiar with the comic Penny Arcade, they're the ones that bought it. Seems that they are giving it away at an upcoming convention.

    HOLY CRAP! thats alot of games! 783 games! wow, there must be a pretty high shipping cost to ship 190 boxes with the games and the strat guides that go along with them. were talking several hundred buckaroos.

    Holy god, I never realized that Penny Arcade guys were so.... loaded!

    Edit: Apparently they're giving it away as a prize at their convention:

    This year the winner of the Omegathon will win the ultimate NES collection. We’re even going to add some stuff to it to make it even crazier. We’ll get some pictures up as soon as we can.

    Remember if you want a shot and being an Omeganaught you need to pre-register for PAX. The last day to do that is July first. After that we’ll be going through the names at random and drawing out our contestants.

    Thats funny, who would pay that much for games, it would take you years and years to play all the games, and you would forget about what you played a few days after you start.

    I know no one would buy them with playing all of them in mind, but still, whats the use?

    Wow, that's amazing. I used to think a few hundred dollars was alot during a video game Ebay auction....not anymore.

    this guy is on crack. He is selling 800 games and wants $15,000 for it. His reserve price is $10,000 and he doesn't have the top 3 most valuable games.

    Awesome. I remember seeing like 900 pounds of bulk legos being sold. That was impressive. The shipping on THAT had to be monstrous. (I'm not upset my wife wouldn't let me buy it.... nope... <SOB> )
