It's a dried up lakebed. Notice the millitary installation on the southern shore of the lakebed, and all the runways. There's also a ordinance testing site Southwest of the base, full of craters.

Shows 10 .kmz's which do just that. Not sure how to make your own. The other way is just to type the co-ords. e.g. Copy and past Apophis' Mt. Rushmore co-ords into the fly-to box and hit enter. For some reason the fly-to search is pretty poor so typing "rushmore" doesn't work
This is definately the best thing since sliced bread. Certainly the most exciting thing I found on the internet for many years. The only let down is that there is no topographical contour overlay yet, despite the fact that elevation data is built in.Last edited by Wintermute; 07-21-2005 at 11:11 AM.
