I need to get a new system for gaming. Right now I play on my thinkpad... so I know I can do a lot better with the graphics and how the game runs.
So.. What system do you have? What Memory do you have? What video Card? And Joystick Y/N? TIA for the feedback everyone. |

Re: What kind of computer do you use
Whatever you get, get a gig of RAM. You'll need it for BF and newer games. Well, you don't need it but it really helps in load times and smoother performance. For a joystick, you don't need anything fancy since it's not a flight sim. I use a Saitek Cyborg and it works fine for flying. I don't think they make them anymore so you could check out the Evo sticks. Another good one is the Logitech Extreme 3D. I happen to like ATI cards but if you got something against them you'll be fine with nVidia. Both produce good cards. One thing to note is that ATI releases driver updates regularly so if there's a problem with a game a driver update might solve it. Oh, if you ever happen to come across two extra monitors, the newer ATI cards support surround view like the Matrox Parhelia did.

512 MB PC3200 Asus MoBo A7N8X Deluxe ($110) DVD/CD RW on-board sound Siatek Joystick GeForce4 5700 Ultra 128mb card ($200) With this I can run everything at max for BFV.

wickerman = Turbojuice???? from MWIR??
Your avatar is the same as a guy who posts on another board I spend time on, might be a coincidence though. I have nothing against ATI or Invidia, anything would be an improvement now. I think it will be a few months before I am ready to buy but I want to do my homework first. "Whatever you get, get a gig of RAM. " Got RAM covered, check the sig ![]() Keep it coming ![]()

Re: What kind of computer do you use
How did you set up your Speedpad? Saddly I looked your up and its the first time I have seen that. Seems like it would be great for gamin. I take it that completely replaces the keyboard. But what do you use the hat on the side for?
